Common questions

My old preparer retired. What do you need from me?

Last year’s federal and Kansas returns, this year’s tax documents, and a photo ID. We handle the rest, including carrying over depreciation and losses.

Do you file Kansas returns for people who moved away?

Yes. If you lived or earned income in Kansas for part of the year, we file a part-year Kansas return alongside your new state’s return.

Is Social Security taxed in Kansas?

Kansas stopped taxing Social Security benefits starting with 2024 returns. Some of your benefits can still be taxable on your federal return.

Start with a 20‑minute intro call.

Free, by phone or video. We’ll ask a few questions, tell you what we need, and quote a fixed fee before any work starts.
